Air Academy from Colorado placed five female athletes in the top 10 in the girls sweepstakes race to prevail with 26 points at the Liberty Bell Invitational at Heritage High in Littleton, Colo. Tessa Walter, a junior, took third on the 5-kilometer layout in 16:55.8, senior Bethany Michalak finished fourth in 17:26.9, sophomore Jordan Banta secured sixth in 17:40.2, freshman Chamorra Cooper earned eighth in 17:45.5 and junior Emily Beers took 10th in 17:51.1 for the Kadets, who achieved a team time of 87:39. Freshman Mariah Hook achieved 38th in 18:34.0 and sophomore Lauren Myers was 54th in 19:02.8 for Air Academy, which prevailed against runner-up Mountain Vista, which had 95 points.
